Element: Space

This is an example of space, the sun is perfectly centered and above the horizon. You can see the reflection of the sun on the sea and the light expanding around the sun. The top of the image shows the distance with the sky still having some blue aspects as the yellow/orange of the sun has yet to overtake it. I took this picture when I visited the beach.

This picture is a good representation of space. The surfers standing right under the horizon really depict that. You see the trees in the distance, and their size translates well to the space in this picture as they look small compared to the surfers who are much closer to us than the trees. The trees and their reflection on the water show their distance and space between the trees and the surfers.

This is an example of space, and it is really expressed in this picture. The wind turbines and how they progressively get smaller and smaller the farther they go really interprets the distance and space in this picture. Another point is how some of the turbines overlap others in the back, this also shows distance and space.

  1. I really found your blog on the element of space to be amazing as you went in detail, specifically on the depth of the images that space is supposed to convey. Like when you mentioned the turbines progressively getting smaller due to the increased space in the image and your other example of the space of the surfers and the horizon. Although you didn't explicitly say depth, the explanations you provided properly convey this notion. Good job!
