Principle: Proportion

 In this picture we see and lady that looks to be holding a gigantic leaf, however, this is an illusion. The lady is standing at a distance while the leaf is being held closer to the camera making it seem as if it is an enormous leaf. This is an example of proportion as there is the use of the leaf and the space between the two objects to make this picture.

Here is an image of an iceberg or an ice cap, it seems like a normal image until you pay extra close attention and then you would see a person on a kayak next to it. When you notice the person, you can now tell how massive this ice cap is compared to the human. Without the person next to it, you would think this is a normal sized object, but the person truly shows the size of it. This is an example of proportion.

This image of a Russian doll is an example of proportion, by the way each one is smaller than the one before. Each doll is supposed to fit in the one before it so all of them can be stored in one big doll. This image shows us the different in size for each doll compared to the one before it.

That area seems to be cluttered with most of the stuff going on in the image being on that right side. Melgar_Selfie

  In this project, I had to outline a picture of me and make it a cartoon version. At first, I wasn’t sure how this would turn out because I was new to using the pen tool but as I started using it throughout the project, I ended up getting the hang of it and understanding how to make some objects over others to make this image come together. I zoomed in closely to outline all the small features in the image. Once the outlining was done, I used the eyedropper tool to get the colors from the original image to the outlines. I enjoyed the entire process of outlining and putting it all together, once the colors were in, being able to see it all as a complete image was very rewarding. I didn’t think it would have come out as good as it did. I enjoyed seeing how much the little details matter and how much they added to the entire image.
