Element: Shape

 This is an example of shapes with a stained-glass window.  It has a variety of shapes to create one entire piece of art, it is full of squares, rectangles, pentagons, ovals, and circles. The different colors connect shapes to make multiple big circles and a flower inside. This also makes other shapes stand out like the clear squares and rhombuses.

A honeycomb is a good example of the use of shape because its hexagonal pattern. The hexagons are naturally made by the bees to store honey, the geometric shape draws the viewer's eye and creates a sense rhythm, structure, and balance in the picture. This example of shape using the honeycomb's hexagon shape makes it a perfect example of geometric shapes in the nature.

A billiards game is full of shapes, the pool table is a rectangle with six pockets, 16 balls are used and are hit using cue sticks. The spheres are represented by circles with numbers, stripes, and colors to distinguish. The placement of the spheres is random but if you look closely, you will see shapes created among them.

That area seems to be cluttered with most of the stuff going on in the image being on that right side.   In this project, I had to outline a picture of me and make it a cartoon version. At first, I wasn’t sure how this would turn out because I was new to using the pen tool but as I started using it throughout the project, I ended up getting the hang of it and understanding how to make some objects over others to make this image come together. I zoomed in closely to outline all the small features in the image. Once the outlining was done, I used the eyedropper tool to get the colors from the original image to the outlines. I enjoyed the entire process of outlining and putting it all together, once the colors were in, being able to see it all as a complete image was very rewarding. I didn’t think it would have come out as good as it did. I enjoyed seeing how much the little details matter and how much they added to the entire image. Principle: Proportion

 In this picture we see and lady that looks to be holding a gigantic leaf, however, this is an illusion. The lady is standing at a distance while the leaf is being held closer to the camera making it seem as if it is an enormous leaf. This is an example of proportion as there is the use of the leaf and the space between the two objects to make this picture. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is an image of an iceberg or an ice cap, it seems like a normal image until you pay extra close attention and then you would see a person on a kayak next to it. When you notice the person, you can now tell how massive this ice cap is compared to the human. Without the person next to it, you would think this is a normal sized object, but the person truly shows the size of it.
